The Great Walls of Jericho

The Ruins of Jericho (picture taken by author, July, 2010)

We know that God gobbles up the arrogant and prideful, the proud—and as oak will break and fall, so did Jericho’s walls, when the trumpets of Joshua blew, long and loud.

Note: Jericho was a stronghold, a fortress I visited in 2010, it is all ruins now, but the walls are still noticeable in some places, they are perhaps five feet if not more thicker. The fortress dates back to 7000 B.C., and Jericho as a habitual location, to 9000 B.C., making it one of the oldest settlements in the world.
