Dennis L. Siluk's New Stories and Poetry: To Know or to love (Inspired by the Good Samaritan)

Dr. Dennis L. Siluk’s has published 72-International Book. He is a poet since twelve years old, a writer, Psychologist, Ordained Minister, Decorated Veteran from the Vietnam War, Doctor in Arts and Education, and Doctor Honoris Causa from the National University of Central Peru, UNCP. He was nominated Poet Laureate in Peru. One of his books, “The Galilean”, took Honorable Mention at the 2016 Paris Book Festival and received an award from the Congress of Peru, for his cultural writings.

To Know or to love

(Inspired by the Good Samaritan)

To know is not necessarily to love

better said: love is something more!

more than to know, love is called

compassion (kind-heartedness)

that is the difference.

All other love is cold, closed, intellectual

and law.

We live by the law of love, and do not

draw near to our neighbors and if we do

we ask: ‘Who is and who is not

our neighbor!’

This is the law.

But love says whomever you meet is

our neighbor here you must have

compassion.
