Eden’s Grove

The man you cursed, and drove from Eden’s grove—
It was I, my Lord God, I; for I was yet to be born,--
And this did light the judgment fire
From the nestling sun, to the woman’s’ womb!
To the care of the unseen soul.
Born of flesh and bone—
That, what would leap to thy will, would be written in stone:
And marked by Eden’s curse, and driven from Eden’s grove,
For evermore!
It was I, my Lord God, I: yet to be born!
Here now on your earth, under your sky, I wait!
Made from the earth’s mud and dirt and dust, I came,
Unto the same I return… so it is among men!
