Iron Hours

(Before Death)

On his deathbed he didn’t think of this or that
Things one might think he’d think of…
Only of things he didn’t do, or wish he had!
He called them Iron Hours, days in his life:
Those he missed, dismissed!
So much so, as with a weary gesture, as if they
Were hewn out of a mountain.
And now with death so very close, he lays
And will die alone, in a hospital room: and he
Know this, well!
The white worm of death is eating into his chest
At his heart, he is pale and panting.
His mind immensely remote, welded to this last
Hour or so; welded as never before.
The young doctor looks in, says:
“Can I give you something to help you sleep?”
“No!” screams the old man, then smiles in dark
Splendor, now utters:
“The day of death no man should squander, miss!”
Mute, the young doctor stood, strange and
Sonorous, as if: far-flung, than the poles of Mars.

In Drunkenness (A Poem)

When I was drinking I was as a ship that had wandered beneath a stormy ebon moon—
In the morning, a disastrous sun bent sailor.

When fully awake from the night’s drunk, my head lay heaving. My temples like oaks, and my heart tremulous.
Forgetting all, save, I could not dream, if indeed I did?

I do recall how I became an unfeeling shadow, drinking beer to beer to beer, cigarettes one after another, as my mind went from realms to zones on stools in sour-smoky bars.

They were all windless evenings, repeated. One not so unlike the other: with perilous eyes of sleep.
I sought to fathom the gulf-enclosing earth, in a swirling gloom.

Xivaâ’s Dream (In Poetic Prose/fusion poetry)

Raised up from the powers of Hell, Xivaâ, gave up his soul to live his dream, that he was a prince, with his shepherdess, in the Great Vale of Atlantis, cradled in the great mountains within the heartland of Poseidon —

Lo, he wished to live with her in kingdoms that never were.

Forthwith, it came about, a perished kingdom made out of ashes and burnt-out pyres, shards and heaped ruins.

A dream or necromancy, who’s to say?

The lotus flower he gave to his beloved, with her light-auburn hair, and sea-green eyes, and garments of weaved silk, while in this cyclopean sleep!

Alas, a squire imp, pronounces him satisfied.

Now awakened in the lofty flocked pastures of Poseidon, a monstrous dominate lamia stands over him, in certitude…  Pointing a large stare, and straightforward finger, upwards.
As if he had lived his woolgathering daydream, his lifelong pomp if indeed it be called that!  Real or not!

In the end, his claim, has descended to dust and scarcity, was it real or was it not?
It doesn’t matter, he must now forfeit his soul, for he has lived his ambition.

And in consequence, he is brought aloft, where Ablis sits on his throne, made of an ever burning stone, where forth, Xivaâ’s soul becomes marked by the Eldritch Dark Empire with its sigil.

And now, to live his days out in sequence, and bated breath.

The Universe in Motion Part IV Through VI

The Universe Complete

IV

Order of the Universe

Woe to the person who would think the universe should follow their order, desire, design, and woe to his doubtlessness compelling others to think all is preserved in the ways of his belief, and thinking! …
Instead of submitting himself humbly to the guidance of providence, God, to share in his discovers, he leaves out epicenter.
If s/he and his kind could only foresee all the misfortunes they bring upon themselves and others by not recognizing the full equation:
if one item is left out of the circle, it is not complete;
if one item is missing, something from all is missing, and must be filled with something else that is unworthy.
He throws a javelin into a crocodile’s eye to keep him at bay, lest his followers by and by, learn the truth other than his;
He has an ebon portal; he will bury history to save his hypocrisy.
How then can truth prevail, when truth is no more than what you wish it to be, this day or that day, or any given day?
When truth is not in rebellion, let it fall where it may, do not harden the heart to make it fit one’s prejudices.
Be a true to thyself, and be a truthful scientist that knows what he doesn’t know—is something to be learned, if indeed s/he can be a listener.
Is it not true: one should know what one knows and doesn’t know, but should know how to find or what direction to go to, to find the answer to that knowing?
Know that the universe flows beneath the windows of God’s eyelids.
And those with closed hearts, and minds are hurled into dark waters to become food for the monsters of the sea!
Such a body will never surface, bloated with convulsions of agenizing cries, never to find the truth from the lie.

The Universe Expands

The Universe expands like a fat man’s belly, that is to say:
the Universe, in a like manner: with all its new born and present stable suns and moons and planets, and orbs and all its un-stabilizing explosions, and black holes and rebirths, and new galaxies,  like the fat man, inflates.
If there is a point to where enough is enough, who’s to say where that point is but God?
There is an end to the universe, but that end, extends.
The Universe has expanded for fifteen-billion years of growth, from a mass of black matters— pro and con: like man’s automatic nervous system: energy vs. energy, one pulling, and one backing off: a universe that was empty, to a universe now full of everything.
We reside in its quiet time, when it sleeps in a REM dose.
Still man is like a jellyfish, he can’t get a grip on it, —as far as theological views go—
These sort of people unconcerned, such hide their emptiness, through evasion, their voice rises out of the abyss of death, where resides their final and fatal light—; unknowing the universe of ‘before light’ and who gave that spark that ignited all.
They don’t understand, or wish to: the theme of formation, its Universe, its Creator, is not set down for one, in one place, but for all, in time and space:
to be gathered like golden nuggets, when God decides  within His time and space, allows, man to stop taking baby steps, and can leap;
But we must not forget, it is His, not ours.
It is a journey, and we must follow God’s lead.
First the physical, then the spiritual, the boat will not float, any other way.
From there, we then must derive all its meaning from the whole and from its end.
We are the only civilizations in time past, having a hard time to grasp God’s formation, His conception of the universe, because we have allowed God’s complete absence within our thinking: which is equally important, to the universal equation.
In time past this was something incomprehensible.
But it is at this very moment, in the year A.D., 2016, God’s quest, is I believe to open a new page, a gateway to wonders discoveries:
to let the faithless people come in, or wander aimlessly into another sphere if they wish—
And for those who hold an opening to God’s awareness in all this, s/he holds history in one’s hands, and the source of all power and understandings of God’s motion, in the Universe He created, and we live, and that expands.

The Universe Intertwined

V

A vision received of Christ in the middle of the night in June, 2014 by the poet.

Man must not become headstrong, unendurable, or mettlesome, nor can he not afford to bear contradiction!
Those who look long into the light are often times the ones soonest inflicted with blindness (arrogance and overbearing)
Man, God, Matter, —God wants to overwhelm us with discovery, but together.
Discovery must be above aggrandizement—
To man, science is a white elephant, to God it is just an ant, man has discovered, and is learning about, in His long catalogue of physics within the cosmos—
His architects!
We are his masons—
He makes us calculate, as if to say: how many silk threads of ells will it take to cover Angkor Vat!
There is no charm in all this, doing it alone!

The Living Universe

VI

Underneath the Universe she palpates as if with sanguine ardor, as if she drinks the magic of the gods.
She hisses and expands: loud she bursts, and piercing she is.
She ripples with molting heat, and coiled verminous translucent light: flowing eyes, fair and fertile.
She belongs to a jealous owner, who resents no intrusion, lest it should come with evil intent!
And deeming themselves secure from his observations, bear in mind He is her creator, as well as theirs!

The Universe is elastic, a living thing, always moving her substance always in motion: filled with orbiting globes, nebulas glow, — drooped like branches, and looped like horseshoes.
She wears a threadbare tunic of matter, antimatter, atoms.
She devours suns, broken easily under her teeth, swollen, suffocated to a  strange fever, tossed into a black hole, wider than earth’s solar system, then passes them quickly in her belly—
To her bemusement, she creates a new galaxies with new voices, falling from nonchalant heights, from that old used up substance.
Her benevolent drums heavy with ominous echoes, albeit of no language, looking up the thick boughs of her formation, to her Creator, she beholds Him, He that inspired her creation!
Man should do likewise!

But man has lost himself into a garden realm of black fruit: blood dark fruit, and there he stands among the stirred shadows of his mind, and says, ‘There is no God!’
Man has brandished a great sword in front of God’s face, light has seared his vision, and he will find himself running—
Running himself off a topless cliff.
To a cavern-mouth to be swallowed up.
And all he will hear is the laughter of the colossi demons—still burning at hell’s entrance.
And thus plunged incontinently into the dark ebon underworld.

The Universe in Motion Parts I Through III

The Universe in Motion
((In Narrative Poetic Prose) (and semi hexameter))

Illustrated

 Part I of III

Forevermore, and from the beginning
In an endless motion everything goes
Flows unruffled—: the heavens above,
The pit below, the planets, stars, and the
Cosmos; bodies, nature, space, the abyss,
The flashing of thunderbolts, heat, cold,
Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and the
Vastness of the whole: follow their course
Through whatever travel time allowed them
By Almighty God—all is on the run—
All have a journey, all in the spread of
Things, spread to every end of creation!
All motion in the universe goes, flows
Devoid of end. Man with his very
Eyes, can see things that bind things.
See space and time bend, matter quiver!

Hill to hill, mountain to mountain, sea to
Sea, land to land’s end, and to sea’s end, and
The rivers, tributaries, and nature, — for
Nature guards all, the full body. One feds,
The other, and all breed humanity by
The holy limbs of God.  If driven apart
From its fit, by the absurd, pray God sets
It back in place; or that God would not allow
It in the first place!  For it would have better
Not to have been, than to have all been
Scattered wide and uninvited.  For by
Fact, nothing got started or stabilized
By itself, and each and all set, in its rightful
Place. Nor did primal germs say one to another:
How each should move, to be driven;
Compacted, and changed to make a flower
Or a plant, a bug, a tree… Then by trial
And error, attempt to make a mortal!

God forbid this kind of motion and thing
For infectious germs to have precedence
In creation, if so, should they decide
Then to make great rearrangements what then?
Contiguous touching, connecting, attached,
To make humankind into imps and goblins?
But God has obstructed such a design,
Preserved what he has, threw proper motion,
Matter to flow in the cosmos, oceans.
And gravity to wave like the seas from
Explosions; and for the forces of earth,
A canopy; and, an asteroid belt, lumped
Barriers, built to move and sway, to cloak
Earth, from invaders. And through suitable
Balance and motion: earth spins like a top,
Counterclockwise; and the moon orbits the
Earth, counterclockwise, and the earth orbits
The sun—unmovable—counterclockwise…

And the bear, the fox, the wolf, the whale
And fire, the reptilian, the spider all with
Breath and air; and the plants take in Man’s
Carbon dioxide, and gives out oxygen…
One feeds the other, even Earth’s firmament
With Earth’s solar system, all work together.

Can a deep-rooted germ, fertile, fix all this?
In a billion or more years? Without God’s
Initiative, inventiveness? Does the
Germ, have a brain, far beyond God’s?

Can the proton, the electrons, within
A cell, within its nucleus, act together,
Without God’s triggering life-death motion?
Does it have a will, heart, breathe or a brain?
Who’s creating the breeding barrier, code?
The genetic DNA; keeping disease far
At bay? The immune system, by spark chance?
Vanity gives the fool dreams to embrace.

Vanity says: something comes from nothing;
That fixed positions come from, oblivion!
That is to say, something from nothing is the
New cause, by chance, which is contrariwise to
Man’s own doubtful physiological impossibilities.

The blind leads the blind, the fool teaches his
Error, and nonsense is born apart from God.

. . .

How is it that all this came about?
All these moving things, forever together…
The sun stands still, but it’s in motion
In its frame as a whole, until its energy
Diminishes, and collapses on its
Own, losing its gravitational pull and hold:
It slowly moves to its death, a black hole.

Yet so many things hide their motions,
When afar from us, too far to view and study.
Even the simple landscapes, the hillside
The wooly flocks, the mud beetle.
The color in the grass, we are all
Blurred and bent, as if standing afar—

The warmth of the sun, its serene atoms
Speed down with its light, through God’s matter
Traveling down this empty void, compelled
To warm the earth, slowly, and to cleave on
To the waves of air; particles of heat
Laments, outbreaths, entangled, enmeshed,
Each restrained by God’s fingertips, checked and
Balanced, in advance. Aboriginal atoms
With their old, bold and simple solidity.
. . .

We are a young species gathering data
On time, space, life, matter, energy, with
A barbarous past…, nor are we a
Long-lived species, years to be counted
Several times over on our fingertips:
To explore God’s wonders, we must rush!
. . .
Should the sharpness of space,
Its plan, its baffling weight and strength,
Should it move sluggishly over time and space
And should God not have preserved its
Original design, —for: chance, menacing
Madness and oddness, cutting off possibilities
For chance and rhyme?

The red lust of madness would have stepped in
And, —what God has put in place, chance
Would have made obsolescent, and farfetched!

The Universe Unfolded
Part II of III

The Devil’s Star, the Comet

Concerning motion, unfold these thoughts: look
Into the skies, that in no wise way,
Could nature of the world, the universe be built
Other than by divine design, power—; what faults
Do you find burdened with? All the weight upon
The earth: grains and trees, mountains and seas do
Not leap to the sky… but like the roof of a dome
Remains in place.  Timber and beam, our bodies—
The elephant and the whale, all the weight
Underneath the earth, its magma, its plates,
The crust of the earth, all within and without, does
Not ascend, rise like the wind, to the empty
Void: past the moon! Venus, Mars…to the sun!
Fire and flames shift to the air, rise aloft,
And then drop: what drives them back down?
Meteors burn up before they hit the ground;
If not, they splatter sparsely. The midnight
Shooting stars flame up the sky, as does the
Devil’s star, the comet, with long fiery, fury tails
Like the Dragon. And the constellations drop to
Earth’s view, while earth spins on top of a needle!
From corner to corner: comes rain, hail, light,
Heat, all bustling, from over and above
And out of the clouds, zigzagging, falling back
Down to earth! Why not the other way! God
Has made earth’s firmament like a layered cake.
And should the naked eye look sanguinely,
Through a telescope s/he will see the universe
Splashed with galaxies, all gyrating, agitated
In and with motion. Furrowed by great waves
Fifteen-billion years in the making. Energized,
With gravity: the cosmos taking quantum leaps,
With new understandings, and Relativity:
Drawing bodies toward bodies as matter keeps
Moving like the surface of a sea, with its
Gravitational waves and astonishing precision…
And recreating new galaxies from black holes.
Thus, is it not the universe our beloved,
Multicolored home! Astonishing, intriguing,
Always interacting, always in motion…

 The crossroads
Part III of III

In light of all that I have said, we are
Now at the crossroads where resides the Universe
And God— Creation of the universe is
Concealed first by nature; and then by science.
Science making God nonsensical, a relic.
And too we have theological concealment
Of the universe, its motion, its creation!
Why!  For the sake of grace, to work through faith.
You must take the physical, then the spiritual.
To understand God, is to understand the
Universe, perhaps not so unlike a fishbowl
And God, above it, looking down into it:
Or God, stepping into it, while still looking
Down upon it. The Universe and Creation
Was created with the idea it is to be lived
With motion, with a view to worship.
